Project: Buy2Let Apartment Location: Advent Scheme - Manchester Duration: 1 week
Brief: to create a space that was contemporary in design, functional, practical, inviting and would appeal to a young professional.
Most of the apartments in the development were sold to investors as buy 2 let properties so it was vital that the interiors for this apartment were a cut above the rest to ensure early occupancy. The apartment was let within one week of interior completion.
Living Space Neutral furniture – creams/oatmeal’s with chrome and glass tables. Complimented by dark reds cushions, full length thick curtains and artwork – with black accessories including the floor standing lamp to give a strong accent colour. These colours work really well together and make the space really homely and cosy. This colour theme was carried through to the kitchen area to bring the two areas together.
Bedroom 1 Again neutral colours in the furniture and blinds with splashes of colour in the bed throws, artwork and accessories in the bedroom and ensuite – keeping in mind a feel of tranquillity and calmness. I used mirrored wardrobes to reflect the space and light.
Bedroom 2 Calm colours – neutral bedding, blinds, curtains and artwork with mirrored wardrobes and coloured patterned accessories and vases. Feature lighting as a focal point.
